Please do have a look at what just a few of Rosie’s riding clients (of all ages) say
“My intuitive riding lesson with Rosie helped me realise that I had a much better connection with my mare under saddle than I realised. Her combination of intuition, sensitivity and clear, practical advice gave me a safe space to feel what was going on in my body and some useful techniques to improve my riding skills.”

“I have been having lessons with Rosie for nearly 4 years (2 months after backing my horse). In that time she has taught me confidence not only in myself as a rider but in my horse. At the end of every lesson/session I feel I have learnt something new and I am on cloud nine until the next time!
Rosie has not only helped my riding ability but has helped me on a personal level with myself. I can confidently say that Rosie can teach any person, any age, at any ability – I have seen it with my own eyes!
She is an amazing person that makes you feel so fulfilled after every lesson. I do not know where I would be with my riding if I had not met Rosie…”

“Developing our connection on the ground has been invaluable to my relationship with my horse Jake, not only on the ground but during my ridden work as well . Rosie is very good at giving you the tools you need and then standing back and allowing you to develop in your own time and realising things for yourself.
I feel my relationship with Jake moving to another level, as I become aware of what Jake is teaching me and allow myself to be open to learn from him.”

“Since having my lessons with Rosie I now ride totally differently, with such a good position and deep seat in the saddle that it enables me to feel relaxed, confident and in control. Because of this I have overcome any worrying distractions I may have, which for the first time ever, leaves me really having trust in my horse and him trusting me more”.

“When I first came to Rosie I was on the verge of desperation. I already had a fair amount of competition experience and had found a promising your horse with whom I had a good partnership but there was something not quite right and things were starting to do downhill.
Rosie immediately identified what was going wrong and did not just rectify it, she enabled ME to rectify it. Rosie gave me the key to unlock my success and the understanding of how to do it.
I firmly believe that after winning the Pony Club Championships twice, completing three Intermediate starts and the Novice Championship at Gatcombe Festival of Eventing that I couldn’t have done any of it without her help and support.”

“Looking at emotions in my lessons has helped me because it has made me understand how the way I’m feeling affects the way my pony goes. My pony responds greatly to how I am feeling, for example if she is not bending very well or going in an outline I sometimes get frustrated with her, I didn’t realise that when I get frustrated I tighten up in my arms, hand and back, this results in her tightening up in her body making it harder for her to do the things I want her to do. It’s helped me realise how important this is to consider when I am schooling my pony and eventually competing in a dressage test.
She has improved a lot and is now relaxed, more flowing in her movements and I think is more happy when I am riding her.”

“When I first started having lessons with Rosie I was 8 years old and my pony was 6, so we both had a lot to learn. Rosie has always made me feel that the three of us are working together as a team and I have grown in confidence and ability. Stig and I have won lots of rosettes and trophies.
Rosie is really different from any other teacher I have had because she has taught me to think about how my pony feels, what’s working, what’s not working – she doesn’t just tell me what to do, I have to think for myself.
She taught me to find my own solutions and I think I am a better rider for it, I now have a new competition pony and I’m very excited about what we can achieve.”

“I have been having lessons with Rosie for almost a year now. Since I have been working with Rosie I think my style of riding has completely changed. Rosie has a very different style of teaching that I have never come across before. It makes you think for yourself rather than just be told what to do.
My 13.2 Welsh cross was my first pony and I felt that I would benefit from lessons with Rosie because I was having trouble with him, mainly jumping, as he kept stopping at fences. Using lots of different techniques we came up with a method that was best for both me and my pony when it came to jumping what used to be a scary fence.
After a while I felt I wanted to move up a level. With a bit of help from Rosie along the way I decided to buy a 14.3hh Connemara. I came to experience some problems with him, as he can be quite stubborn and yet very sensitive. He also required quite a different style of riding from my other pony. Rosie helped me realise that you have to be quite bold with him, or else he will get insecure and confused.
I have benefitted hugely from having lessons with Rosie as now I am much more confident and she has taught me how to respond, rather than react, in different situations. I have also realised that horses are very sensitive to your emotions and body language. Rosie is always a very positive, enthusiastic and encouraging instructor.”
