So often we are touched in ways that seem small and insignificant at the time but prove to be glorious catalysts and blessing later. Ancient myths and stories speak of a time long ago in which there were no boundaries between humans and animals. In reality animals speak to us every day, by their behaviours, actions, movements and characteristics, when we know what to look for we can rediscover this unique connection between horse and human. There are no words to describe how it felt when Bertie actively sought me out looking to play and dance. Nowhere else in my life have I felt able to play with such abandon, knowing that the horse with me wanted me to make a fool of myself as much as I did. He was my partner in crime, and in that moment he gave everything, without being asked and without any fear of committment. Now it’s got me thinking….. where else can I take this into my life???!!!!
